Dear Friends,
We need to have a Skype meeting. Please let me know a suitable time. I will be around for example next Monday and Wednesday afternoon. We have the same time with Latvia, and Sweden is one hour behind us. Please write an email message to me with your time suggestions in Finnish time and I also need to have your bank account number to send the traveling money to you. Please include that in your email message. Please make sure that the account number is the type that we can use here in Finland and it has to be your school’s or town’s back account, it cannot be a private account. When I send you the money you have to commit to the traveling or sending the money back to us if you don’t travel.
Here is a list of topics to be discussed in the Skype meeting. You are welcome to add to the list:
1. Activities to be done by all students of Can I Help You Project.
2. The importance of peer feedback.
3. Traveling arrangements
- money transfer – surplus money must be returned
- travel dates: fi,sw > latvia 31.3.-6.4. latvia>sweden?
- accomodation, staying in families – teacher hotel
- eating and allergies
- student email addresses and phone numbers
- correspondence before the trip between students’ families
- programme, will be included in the final report, our school also needs it – we need a day or two for blog writing, maybe even three if you feel you need more help with the blog, we need to give time to the students to report what they have done during their visit, it will be an important part of the final report
- parent permits and contact info
- travel documents – RECEIPTS NEED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE NORDPLUS JUNIOR FINAL REPORT, PLEASE HOLD ON TO THEM (NOT BOARDING PASSES, BUT ACTUAL PLANE TICKETS)
4. Reporting in early June with final budget and travel documents (receipts)
