Well, after a very nice flight we arrived in Riga, in the middle of the winter. But the feeling of cold disappeared quickly because we were welcome so friendly and warm. Thank you Gaida for this first impression!🌹Then at school, your birthday cake! Happy birthday once more🌷.
The kids were very shy, as expected, but yesterday, on Tuesday, they were more ” normal”, and they had to face the school reality which is quite different to the Swedish one. The schoolbell rings- we don’ t have school bells, so our students thought that the alarm went off:). After the first night there were tears, they miss their families, but it is normal, by the end of our trip they will cry because of leaving.
It is very nice to see the Swedish kids integrating more and more into the Latvian life. and.. they try to speak English the whole time, they are developing their language skills, great! A big thank you to everybody in the school and to the parents. Our special thank goes to the headmaster and to Gaida, they really try to fix everything for us.
